Food was average at best . Spring rolls ok , but lacked texture. Potstickers were flavourful but the wraps were too doughy and thick. Mushroom seafood hot and sour soup was very salty . Shrimp in garlic sauce lacked taste but in general good mix with properly cooked vegetables . Sesame chicken was dry and soggy. Fried rice was dry . Overall , average .
Lao Sze Chuan has the best Chinese food in Chicago (Min Hing is a close second). I'm talking New York City-grade Chinese food here.
Even tho we ordered late in the evening the food was fresh, hot and delicious. I will be ordering again soon I'm sure.
Delivery was a little slow for a Monday evening (took 1 hour). Food was decent. Spring rolls were not warm and we could have done without these.
A little saltier than I would like but really tasty.
Food was very oily, for the price I excepted a bit better quality
Delicious & timely!
Extra spicy was amazingly good.
Best service incredibly good Chinese food. Medium spicy is very spicy... Fair warning. but great if you like it spicy. Rice cake dessert was not so special
Wonderful meal. However, in the order special instructions section, I specifically asked for "no egg" in the fried rice and it unfortunately arrived with egg all through it. I was too tired to call and deal with it, so my husband was able to enjoy that dish, but I wasn't. Would've been nice to have the instructions followed. Everything else was super.
Food was very good but our order was missing 2 items.
Great taste and generous portions. Quick delivery is always awesome!!
Excellent vegetarian. Garlic spinach is great!
Very fast delivery and the food was excellent.
Consistently good food. Potstickers are some of the best in Chicago. Crispy Shrimp w/lemon sauce is wonderful. Get the Orange chicken spicy, it offsets the sweetness. The Kung Pao and Szechuan Beef are consistently on point. Twice cooked Pork Szechuan and Moo Shu Pork very good. Szechuan Smoked Tea Duck is a favorite, as is the Chef's Special Crispy Duck. All of the Chow Mians are good. There is only one dish so far I did not like - the Double Fried Sliced Duck - one of the flavors/ingredients was very overpowering, made the dish unpleasant to me.
Food was okay. Service was fine. I can't seem to find a Chinese restaurant that does pot stickers well. As usual, wrapper was thick and filling was bland.
